Services & Rates
Let’s start with a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation to see if our services are the right fit for you.
Payment: Sessions fees are kindly due before/at the time of your appointment. Interac e-transfer payments are preferred, credit cards accepted. Receipts are issued for all sessions and are emailed to you after your session.
Cancelled/ Missed Appointments: A full session charge will be incurred for any appointments missed or cancelled within a 24 hour period. To avoid this charge, a 24 hour cancellation or reschedule notice is recommended.
Confidentiality: We adhere to a strict standard of confidentiality. All information between client and counsellor will not be shared or disclosed to anyone without permission from you. We also adhere to a strict code of ethics. Exceptions to confidentiality include: (1) federal or provincial court (2) criminal code violations where physical and/or sexual abuse of children is involved (3) whereby any person’s life or health is in obvious danger.
Parental Guardianship: Services for children ages twelve and under require consent from any and all legal guardians. With BC's 2013 Family Law Act4 (FLA) passing, rules exist that make it clear that parents must consult with each other before they consent to counselling and the provision of other health care services for their children. In cases where parents are separated or divorced, court rulings regarding custody or guardianship may limit the rights of one parent to take a child to see a counsellor without the consent of the other. We will make every attempt to reach out to all guardians listed to include them in the treatment process.
We are bound by our clinical association’s code of ethics.
