  • Child therapy is a specialized form of mental health treatment that focuses on helping children and youth aged 4-12 work through emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Using developmentally appropriate techniques like play therapy, expressive therapy, and talk therapy, we help children process difficult emotions, build coping skills, and develop a stronger sense of self. Sessions build crucial skills like impulse control, emotional regulation, planning, and decision making. The overarching goal of child therapy is to help kids work through current challenges, heal from past difficulties, and gain the self-understanding and life skills needed to thrive at home, at school, and beyond.

  • Teen counselling supports the mental health and wellbeing of adolescents during a critical developmental stage. We work to foster a safe, non-judgmental space where they can openly explore their inner world. Teens have the opportunity to process and express their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences. We draw upon an array of treatment modalities, including expressive writing exercises, therapeutic games, and art therapy techniques, to treat depressive symptoms, anxiety disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviours, and the emotional impact of parental divorce. Each session aims to empower adolescent clients to navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and move towards healing and personal growth during the pivotal teenage years.

  • Co-parenting counselling before, during and after divorce is a critical service that helps parents navigate the complex challenges of shared parenting. The goal is to assist both parents in establishing a collaborative co-parenting relationship that prioritizes the well-being and best interests of their children. Our sessions provide education, guidance and support to help parents understand the impact of divorce on kids of different ages. Counselling sessions focus on developing effective communication skills, setting clear boundaries, making joint decisions, and resolving conflicts constructively. Parents learn strategies for shielding children from adult disputes, maintaining consistency between households, and emotionally supporting their kids through the transition. Ultimately, co-parenting counselling aims to help divorced parents work together successfully as a team to raise secure, well-adjusted children and maintain strong parent-child bonds in a dual-household family.
