It takes a whole village to raise a child.

I aim to help parents and caregivers develop the necessary skills to promote positive parenting outcomes.

I am a mental health professional, parent training specialist, and advocate whose recent work focuses on helping parents. My experience in front-line roles has equipped me with strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to make well-informed decisions. My education and continuous professional development have equipped me to assess and effectively manage complex situations with clients.

Jonie Gore ~ RPC

I bring a unique background and skillset designed to help therapeutic results work beyond the office. I am a parent training specialist and bring a wealth of experience and tools through my work with families over the years to support you in each session. I have been working in front-line and crisis intervention settings for 15 years, gaining extensive knowledge and training in the social service and mental health field.

I am a Clinical Counsellor with an honours degree in Psychology, and a member in good standing with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). My training and professional background have equipped me to deliver effective mental health services to children, youth, and families. I also work as a Parent Support Practitioner for the Canadian Mental Health Association in a behaviour program and offer individual sessions to parents of children facing behavioural challenges. My main objective is to provide families with necessary skills and strategies to enhance their caregiving abilities and support their children's social and emotional development.

My ultimate goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing home environment that fosters optimal growth and development for both the child and the family. To date, I have worked with many families across British Columbia and have successfully assisted parents and caregivers in achieving positive outcomes. I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds with varying physical and mental health needs. Moreover, I can manage challenging situations effectively, maintaining empathy, tact, and professionalism.

Jonie is currently accepting new clients.
