It takes a whole village to raise a child.
I am passionate about creating a long-lasting, healthy relationship with clients and parents to ensure that clients can thrive despite their conditions.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over five years of experiencing working with youth through both nursing and counselling. I use a holistic approach that considers different biological, psychological, and social aspects, as well as, cultural backgrounds as underlying factors. I also currently support youth aged 12-18 years with developmental disabilities, and various medical and psychiatric illnesses or disorders.
I offer sessions in both English or Punjabi.
Arshia Sidhu ~ RCC, RPN
In therapy, I combine a variety of modalities, including a person-centred approach, CBT, and Solutions Focused Therapy, to meet my clients’ needs. My experience with clients with brain injuries, developmental challenges, or ‘aggressive’ behaviours, for example, have prepared me to develop a sensitivity to each individual’s needs. Strong therapeutic relationships and communication skills lie at the core of my work. I have provided both individual and group counselling for clients and their families to foster long-lasting changes, and can provide support to help integrate new skills.
I recognize that children and youth can find healing through play and laughter. I value creating a safe, respectful and authentic environment where my clients can achieve this healing.
Arshia is currently accepting new clients.
