We offer two areas of parent support.
Parent support counselling aims to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively support their child's development and well-being.
Cooperative parenting counselling is a critical service that helps parents navigate the complex challenges of shared parenting, separation or complex family dynamics. For separated parents, the goal is to assist in establishing a collaborative co-parenting relationship that prioritizes the well-being and best interests of their children. For intact families, we can help with re-establishing boundaries, partner team-work and effective communication. Our sessions provide education, guidance and support to help parents understand the impact of family conflict and/or divorce on kids of different ages.
-
Family counselling aims to help families improve their relationships by exploring the underlying issues that affect them and promoting healthier dynamics within the family unit. This approach focuses on understanding the core concerns influencing family interactions to facilitate positive change.
-
Sessions aim to explore each partner’s inner-world, reduce reactivity, strengthen communication and trust. Our goal in working with couples is to assist with research-based , structured interventions to strengthen a couples’ relationship.
-
We work with individuals to achieve personal goals, cope with and reduce the symptoms of a variety of disorders, and discover self-development practices that support the individual moving forward.
We also offer counselling for men, specifically designed for men to destigmatize expressions of emotions or experiences as shameful so that we can assist with their challenges within individual counselling.
Videos that describe play therapy and why it is used instead of ‘talk-therapy’ with children (ages 4-12) can be found here.
