It takes a whole village...
Bright Minds integrated mental health practice provides clinical support in a variety of specialized areas:
-
Our specialized treatment for child & youth clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm and other mental health challenges. Our therapies are grounded in the latest research on neurobiology, attachment theory, and the healing power of play.
For our younger clients, therapeutic play is core to promoting healthy brain development, emotional processing, and social skills. Through carefully guided play therapy sessions, children gain self-confidence, learn to navigate conflicts and fears, and light up the cognitive centers of the brain involved in attention, memory, language, interpreting social cues, and integrating emotions. Our skilled child therapists attentively observe play themes and patterns that emerge, using the safe space of therapy to help children master their struggles and build resilience. Treatment is delivered in a warm, caring environment to nurture each child's inner resources and strengths as they learn, grow, and overcome difficulties interfering with their wellbeing. By combining neuroscience, attachment principles, and the curative potential of play, we help young people get back on track and thrive.

We offer two disciplines of parent support.
Parent support counselling aims to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively support their child's development and well-being. Parents learn evidence-based approaches to foster a nurturing home environment that promotes their child's emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Cooperative parenting counselling is a critical service that helps parents navigate the complex challenges of shared parenting. The goal is to assist both parents in establishing a collaborative co-parenting relationship that prioritizes the well-being and best interests of their children. Our sessions provide education, guidance and support to help parents understand the impact of divorce on kids of different ages.
-
Family counselling aims to help families improve their relationships by exploring the underlying issues that affect them and promoting healthier dynamics within the family unit. This approach focuses on understanding the core concerns influencing family interactions to facilitate positive change.
-
Our goal in working with couples is to assist with research-based , structured interventions to strengthen a couples’ relationship. Session aim to explore each partner’s inner-world, reduce reactivity, strengthen communication and trust.
-
We work with individuals to achieve personal goals, cope with and reduce the symptoms of a variety of disorders, and discover self-development practices that support the individual moving forward.
